While we’re always careful about the electrical devices that we work on, we sometimes forget to safely handle the battery-powered electrical equipment that we work with. That’s why we thought we’d share this fascinating article from Work Safe. It’s titled Risk from Battery Powered Devices Mounted Near Electrical Equipment.

To avoid the risk to equipment and people, unused battery powered devices should have their batteries removed, be located so that battery leakage does not endanger other electrical equipment or be removed (including any associated cabling).
